Alesvandr Rajnaruk
The Alesvandr, or Ales for short, also known as Snow wolves by most other Raj species, is a very different kind. They live in one single city and have a brutal and harsh lifestyle. They are unforgiving and brutal.
Temprament and societyBrutal by nature and quick to violence to get what they want, they are very unforgiving and independent. They are proud and headstrong, confident in their skills, as they are trained from a very young age. Mysterious to most outsiders, in neutral territory they usually keep to themselves and stay quiet, which often sets others on edge, as they simply don't have a lot to say and can't easily make small-talk. They usually walk quite hunched with their heads low which often makes them look like they are glaring. This is also to protect their throats if someone is to try and surprise attack them.
Rarely do they feel compassion for outsiders or even within their own species. Despite this, they each have value within their species, and each of them are given a job to do that suits their skills. Their rank or jobs are often decided by consensus of what is needed, or the Ales' own interest and skill sets. They are incredibly fast and agile, and rely on quick attacks in quick succesions to bring down their enemies. Adolescent wolves will form groups of friends similar to their age, but as they grow they'll start to see their friends as rivals and will spar, play-fight and fight to become stronger and learn their place in the hierarchy. These fights often end in bloodbath, and sometimes in death to weed out the weak. In this species only the strongest survive. They're quiet around others and sometimes speak in strange ways as if to set others on edge on purpose. They are very secretive, and not much is known about them to the outside world. Because of their land's constant snow storms, they never had the need of an army to protect themselves. An outsider's only way to find their home is if an Alesvandr guide them through the snow storm. Only a handful of outsiders have ever set their foot in their capitol, Bjerkheim |

The Alesvandr follow their Jarl, who unlike most other species have very few officials and the Jarl rules by himself without a council or officials that offers him advise. The Alesvandr does not have an army, but instead each of their member are talented and skilled, each of them serving a purpose for their species and trained for. That being as a fighter, scout, spy, healer or hunter. Despite their bloody and brutal ways, they will always curl up together and allow the snow storms to cover them while they sleep, though it is rare to ever see them cuddle up for affection. They follow authority without question and believe what they are told and taught by their leaders is true and the right thing to do.

Despite not having an army, they are at war with the Caedric and Mysbel. Their assassins and scouts are greatly feared, and it's common knowledge that an Alesvandr usually aren't alone if one is spotted. They are very skilled, and have trained to silently track an enemy and kill them without being seen or leave any trace behind. Abandoning their duties is seen as treachery.
Alesvandr are considered being a puppy between the ages of 0-1, juvenile up to they are 6, adolescent up until they are 12 and then they call them younglings up until they are 15 years old. They are sexually mature at the age of 18. They're considered adults from 18 and up until their deaths.

Reproduction and early stages
Due to their small numbers and small litters, most Alesvandr will usually have at least one litter in their lifetime. They will find a mate that suits what they value, such as fighters finding a mate in other fighters, and scouts finding love with other scouts. After a bond is formed, they will spend some time together to get to know eachother. There are no weddings or formal announcement if two wolves fall in love and decide to become mates. If the mate dies, they may find a new mate.
Females gestate for 60 days, which is the shortest gestation period for any Raj. They usually have pups young so they can litter more, and they usually have 1-2 pups in each litter. If litters are bigger, the female may have more stillborns. During the pregnancy, the males will dig out dens in the thick snow while the female spends most of her time alone, out hunting and wandering. When she is ready, she will return and settle in to give birth.
Pups are born completely white, and already be able to keep their own body temprature. This survival tactic has helped as both male and female will togehter hunt. The pup is born deaf and blind, and gains hearing and sight in two weeks. Their ears however usually stays floppy for several months to help keep them warm as young. They will also start to eat meat very early on, and doesn't need to be nursed by their mother for long. They will already start to fight with their littermates or their parents when they can learn to walk, and it's not uncommon they learn to fight and bite before they learn to talk. The mothers will usually have their litter of pups a few years inbetween, usually she will remain in the same den to raise new pups with the old litter
During their den-time, their father will usually teach them about the ways of their kind and history, while the mother teaches them how to fight and useful skills, as well as reading. If a pup dies in their snow den, the mothers are usually the one who will grieve the most. The father will make a new den for the surviving pups, while the mother will stay and grieve for the night. The next morning, she will leave the den and collapse the entrance, leaving the dead pup inside the den before she moves to the new den. However, if both parents are killed while out on a mission, and nobody can take care of their pups, they must either try and survive on their own, or they will simply die, as other Raj don't know where their parents made their dens.
If a pup survives to their first year, they will be put together with other pups their age where they will form groups of friends that they call "Grouplings". These Grouplings stick togehter until they reach 12 years old, where they will start to participate in pack hunts and fights. During their Groupling days they will all grow up together, learn things from their parents who will return to their regular duties. Parents only return to their puppies grouplings for feeding or lessons that are shared between all of the pups. They can sometimes form strong bonds, and a lot of them as adults find a mate from these groups. Sharing meals and sleeping together will be the most affection they will have. However, as they grow they will start to train their skills on eachother, which sometimes ends up in death if the pup does not know when or how to stop.

Abilities
Living in a province where the snow never melts, they have adapted very well to the cold lands. They can walk on top of almost all kinds of snow and withstand the harsh blizzards and snowstorms that ravages their territory. While they can't survive long in intense cold temperatures like Norh can, they are quick on their feet and travel fast. They are small and quick, making them the perfect thief or assassin.
Their special ability is an internal compass, and they can sense and feel their surroundings like no-one else can. They can find their home and ways from even the thickest snow storm.

Physical Appearance
The Alesvandr is a fairly small, slender and light wolf. They have very thick fur, that is known to shed once they leave their snowlands to not overheat. They have long legs with large webbed paws with long and sharp claws that helps them simply walk over snow instead of sinking in. They have thick coats that protects them from the constant snow storm, and their tails are long and fluffy. They usually have a slightly longer back legs that helps with quick bursts of speed and long leaps.
As a distant cousin to the Norh they have some similarities in colors and patterns, and are similar to Arctic Wolves. An Alesvandr has a relatively small pool of colors on their main body, which is mainly white and light gray like snow. They may have some lighter markings if their coat is light, but they always will have a black marking or markings somewhere on their body. This marking may be small, but it's never dominant on any Alesvandr. Rarely do they have orange or yellow markings. They have at least two colors, but most normal is around three different colors, this is to help them blend in the snow and blizzard, as their coloration and pattern should be very snow-and artic like. They can never be pure white.

Decoration
Alesvandr rarely decorate themselves or wear heavy armor that slows them down. Due to lack of natural resources found, finding decorations to begin with is small to none. They are more natural and feral, and won't waste time on something that won't benefit them.
Culture and death
The Snow wolves are a very secretive culture as well as being very proud. They don't accept outsiders or outside opinions about their ways or culture, and they don't participate in any political debates or issues, keeping very well within themselves. They don't forget and rarely forgive, are stubborn, easily hold grudges and are also known to be brutal. Aside from that, they are very mysterious in their ways and how they survive in the harsh conditions. They have their prophecies and omens, and are very superstitious about their history and legends that follows them. Their past is shrouded in mystery. Most wolves who go digging in the ruins end up mysteriously disappearing...
They are lead by their Jarl Enthris in Bjerkheim. His bloodline is very well known and feared for their mistrust in outsiders. Enthris has never participated in the politics of the other cultures. However, he is known for having slaughtered tne outcast Twilight leader at the time of the Joundra genocide, despite not actively taking part in the fight himself. The Nobleborn family have a very brutal way of passing on the title of Jarl. When the Jarl's offspring become of age, and wish to take over the leadership, they will kill their parent in cold blood and take the throne. Sometimes even killing the old Jarl's advisors, if they have any, in favor of leading alone or picking their own advisors. Siblings will often fight for the throne as well, and it's not uncommon for one to take advantage of a weakened sibling that have just killed the Jarl.

The Alesvandr currently live in only one city, known as Bjerkjeim. It's rumoured to be an ancient, massive castle that is now in ruins, covered in ice and snow and partially buried by a glacier. The Alesvandr will often sleep amongst the ruins, curled up and allowing the snow to bury them. As their lands is always covered in snow and storms, seeing the night sky is considered sacred. No blood is to be shed on the day the storms let up enough to let the stars shine through. There hasn't been a clear night sky in 15 years, and this makes them restless. |
They are known for killing and death in their own cultures. A son who murdered his father for status will still offer food after his death, but that may not always be the case as the species is brutal and selfish. Depending on the wolf's status upon death, the Alesvandr will grieve in silence and in private, before burying their bodies in piles of snow outside of their cities. The Alesvandr still respect their dead, and will often leave pieces of meat after their kills on the ruins of their home to pay respect to those who have passed.
Ranks
The Alesvandr do not have any formal or official ranking system, aside from the Nobleborn family. They find their ranks and place in society by battling it out, outmatching eachother and fighting, sometimes to the death to find the place where they belong. They act more like a pack than most other Raj species, aside from the Thernians and the Solaius.
NOBLEBORNS
- Respected and feared, they are the most powerful Alesvandr. They can control lightning and won't hesitate to attack their own members if they act out of line. They will also often act out punishments if needed too. The Nobleborn family live in the deeper parts of the ruins where there's less snow, and also have a hidden treasury. There are secret chambers and tunnels only the Nobleborn is allowed to enter.
LOWBORNS
- Usually where everyone else falls under. These wolves make up the Alesvandr population. Some of the common ranks that are found in the Alesvandr species are assassins, scouts, spies, fighters, hunters, healers, mappers, lonefangs and mercenaries.

Laws
The Alesvandr, acting a lot like a pack, do not have a lot of written laws. Treachery is not common within this species, and most of them act to benefit their species.
1. Never bring an outsider to your home, as it is treason.
2. Never bare your fangs at your Jarl, it is seen as treason and punishment is being maimed, or executed
3. Only the strongest survive, as is the spirit of the stormlands.
4. Outsiders cannot be trusted, never forget where your loyalities lie.
5. An Alesvandr that abandon their duties is a traitor.
6. A Lowborn cannot challenge the Jarl for leadership.
7. If you leave the Snowland, you leave as an Alesvandr. Benefit the pack if you leave your home.
8. The Jarl is the law.

Diet
The snow wolves hunt in small hunting parties and are the only known species to be able to hunt and bring down mammoths and woolly rhinos without a pack, using their speed and agility to tire and bleed it out. They can communicate without speaking, almost like they have a special bond that keeps them together. They hunt mostly large animals, but never birds or flying creatures.
Territory
Their Territory lies in the Tall Mountains that are covered in snow all year round. Their lands are ragged, dangerous, and unforgiving with blizzards and snowstorms always present. Their Capitol is hidden within the vast wasteland and has never been found by outsiders. Their territory mostly consists of snowy-landscapes and a few rocky areas, as well as massive glaciers that often break apart and move, so the Alesvandr must always be alert.
How to recognize and make an alesvandr
Alesvandr are quite easy to see due to their small sizes and long-snow leopard tails. However there are some keys to recognizing an Alesvandr by their fur coloration. An Alesvandr will always have some black, but it never covers more than 10% of their bodies. These markings can commonly be stripes, unique markings, spots, or colored ears or toes. They can have some gray and beige but very little as their main body should always be a color of white/ off-white. Asymmetrical markings are not uncommon.
Keys
- Can't have colors other than white/off white as their main body color
- Markings should not be more than markings. Patterns are rare.
- Markings and patterns should always be secondary and compliment the white pelts.
- Can't have colors other than white, black, light gray or light beige in their color pattern.
