Petira
"One who is resisting"
Petira is a minor character who first appeared in Episode 1 of Whitefall in her statue form. She was later confirmed to be a Thernian who transferred her soul into a stone statue to stay alive while her mortal body died to a fatal injury. She is Fale's mother, and the Witch who cursed Aleiun, making all pups born after her death be stillborn. BackgroundNot much is known of Petira's backstory, only that she came to Aleiun 8 years prior to episode 1. She stayed there for several years and had Fale, until a plague sweeped through their village; killing all the Aleiunian pups but sparing the Witche's pups. Enraged and confused, the Aleiunians killed the Witches pups out of fear, and blamed the Witches for the plague. In retaliation, the Witches were killed but two managed to flee; Petira and Kijar, however Petira sustained a fatal injury that would shortly take her life. As she fled to the statue and met with Kijar, she transferred her soul into the statue they worshipped, and since then her soul clung to life without a mortal body, only surviving off of magic. In the same spell she transferred her soul, she also cursed Aleiun. When the statue sustained irreversable damage from the flood, the magic finally was too weakened and Petira's soul was freed from the stony body where she was finally reunited with Fale.
PersonalityLittle is known of Petira's true personality. She appears short tempered and quick to anger, showing hostility and outright aggression towards Vati when she thinks Fale is in danger. Her sole focus is on Fale and her own safety. However, when she and Petira talks it's revealed she has a softer side to the old female, and once she finds out Fale is dead, she has no remorse letting go of the grudges and hatered, seeming at ease that they both can no longer hear the cries of the spirits of the dead pups.

Powers and Abilities
Petira has shown several of her abilities, as a Witch she's able to use Blood Magic. She is seen using her own blood to create vines and flowers that capture and kill pursuing Aleiunians. She is seen again using Blood Magic to transfer her soul, as well as cursing the village. In her Statue form, she has limited magic but is seen being able to use Restoration to restore a broken stone slab she slashed with her claws.
In her statue form, she shows great physical strength, able to cut through rocks with ease and able to withstand her body being broken multiple times, such as the Aleiunians trying to stop her by cutting off the statue's head but Petira still showing resiliance and endurance and survived it.
