Caedric Rajnaruk
The Caedric Raj, the Warrior Wolf, are a strong and fierce species. Probably the most well known as the most powerful of the tribes. They have a long history of battles and glory, and have earned their reputation. They are noble and proud fighters and possess a strong sense of identity tied to their warrior nature. They are known for one superstition that might be true; their fur is stained with blood.
Temprament and societyStrong, fierce and confident, the Caedrics are known to be warriors to their core. Besides fighting, the Caedric typically enjoy sitting around during meals and telling stories of great battles and legends of their warriors and boast about their victories. They value status and power, and discipline amongst their ranks is extremely important. They are direct and confrontational, and easily hold grudges or start fights. They don't like to travel a lot and are not very spiritual, despite this, they are very superstitious and secretive. They patrol their borders fiercly and only allows Caedric and Mysbels to enter their territory without permission. Their borders are guarded by several outposts, and Postguards patrol between these bases and use howling to relay information.
The Caedrics follow the rule of their leader, the Jarl and the Nobleborn family. Ranks means everything to them. The order of commands goes from the Jarl, to the Warlords, to the Lords, to the Generals, to the Commanders and then the Enforces. Their army consists of the Warriors, the Vanguard, Soldiers and Guards, Scouts and Healers. The Elite is a seperate branch of the Caedric species, consisting of the Twilight Caedrics who have sworn oaths to protect the Nobleborn and the Jarl from the shadows as their elite and personal protectors. They will usually wear colored scarfs to signify their rank. The Jarl will rarely go out on smaller missions, and will only go out in bigger wars where they need to command their armies. Showing care or affection amongst the Nobleborn is frowned upon, so siblings often grow up with a rivaly and with not much care for the other. They refer to their ranking system as the 'Rings', and there are five rings in total, with Lowborn being the lowest in Ring Five, and Nobleborn being the highest as the First Ring. The Lowborns are often seen in the common Caedrics that make up the populations, as well as the ones guarding the outer borders and outposts in their lands. |

The Highborns, the ones of the Second and Third Ring, will often have their own personal homes inside the mountain that makes up their home; Aerier. They are granted their own cave by the Enforcers, and while the wolf is in work as a guard or soldier, that will be their home that they also will share with their mates and eventually pups if they have any. When the pups reach 18 and have found their Rank and Ring, they will be assigned their own cave. Other members of the society lives in huts and caves outside of the main mountain, often where they have their occupation.
Because of their pride and confidence, they use fear and shame to teach their young to work hard and as motivation, out of fear of disappointing their parents and their peers.
The Caedric are described as noble and regal. They are a valuable ally and a dangerous enemy to have. They're charming and noble, and have won many battles that they recorded themselves to further fuel their reputation, as well as the stories and legends of how they rose to power and status. They are also known for writing scrolls and books, which is often Caedric propaganda. Highborn families and powerful houses are high in number in this species, as ranks means everything to them. Betrothal is very common and normal among the Caedric.
A Caedric is considered a pup between the ages of 0-3 years of age, then they're considered juvenile up to 8 years, adolescent up to 14. They are considered sexually mature at the age of 18. At the age of 20 they're considered an adult. They often start being taught when they become juveniles, and then at the adolescent stage they'll start their combat and physical training, often becoming soldiers or guards at the age of 16. They're considered mature adults until they're 40. They usually stop fighting around the age of 50 and retire, becoming Elders and spending most of their days overseeing training of the younger soldiers in training, offering advise or becoming mentors.

Reproduction and early stages
Caedrics, while being allowed to marry out of love, often marry because they're bethroded. Parents will often decide who they shall marry and continue their lines, but for the lower ranking Caedrics and the commoners, they will often find a mate of their choice. It's expected of the Highborns, to carry out their parent's wishes of which mate to marry. They will marry by swearing oaths to eachother in front of their parents, and in front of the Enforcers, who will make records of all the marriages and the pairs as well as their offsprings and their parents. Because of the way their mates are often chosen by those of higher or similar ranks, not many bethroned marriages are out of love. While some do end up loving their partner, having two Higborns staying together because it is what is expected of them is not unusual. And because of this, a lot of Highborn pups grow up never seeing their parents interact or show eachother affection, sometimes not even trusting eachother.
Lowborn Caedrics usually find their partner by their own interests. They often favor Caedrics with spiky, red fur, but some may prefer the more quiet and shorter-furred. They get married by having their families and friends witness their oaths, and usually live pretty happy yet mundane lives.
Females gestate for around 70-80 days, before they will give birth to a litter of 1-3 pups and will often have up to four litters during their lifetime between the ages of 18 to 30. For Higborns, during their pregnancy the male will support the female and bring her food and other things she may need. When she is halfway done with her pregnancy, she will make her nest in their homecaves. She will decorate it herself with things she finds pretty, such as feathers, flowers or self crafted decorations. Her own mother will often help with preperations, but if she doesn't have a mother she will be helped by the mid-wives, who often helps when she has to give birth and to prepare during the pregnancy. The mother and father will then name their pups, and send the list to the Enforcers for approval and for recording.
Their pups are born blind and deaf. They will open their eyes and ears after around 2 weeks, and already start walking around at the age of 1 month and have learned to communicate. Pup death is not common, and often is results of weak pups that are simply born weak. The pups will already from 1 month old start to play fight and tumble with their littermates, and their parents will also join in and teach them important moves and skills that could become useful when they're adults.
While they grow, their fur will become extremely ragged and unkept due to the speed in which they grow and they don't stay chubby for very long. They may look skinny and unkept until they reach around 7 years old when they will finally slow down growing and start to fill in the rough fur and their skinny appearance. They are introduced to the Caedric society early on, and the fear of being shamed for being weak and disappointing is already set in motion from the moment they're born. Siblings can often be turned on eachother for the better resources and food while growing, resulting in runts which often falls to a lower rank as they become of age. During their upbringing, it varies greatly how much affection their parents show. Some parents simply treat them as another Caedric, while some other act more like parents and form bonds with their offsprings, even mentoring them themselves. It's not uncommon for the male Caedric to bring in gifts from the outside world while their pups are growing.
For Lowborns however, it's quite different. Females gestate for the same amount of time and have the same sized litters, however, the father will always be there when she gives birth to help, as well as their closest family. The father will provide for the female and all her needs during the pregnancy, though it's often left to them to decide how much each of them want to do. When their pups are born, they will be named by both parents and they will care for them closely. Siblings in the lower ranks tend to have a closer bond, as the pressure of being shame is much more loose with the lower ranks, in the belief that Lowborns can't raise to the higer ranks easily. As the Lowborn pup grows, they will take after their parent's jobs, that being hunters, merchants or others, though they are always given an oppertunity to raise in the ranks, and join the army as soldiers.
When they become 10 years old, Highborn families will often find a mentor that will teach their young directly. If they cannot find or afford a mentor, their pup will be sent to the armory for training to become a soldier or a guard.

Abillities
They aren't the fastest species, but they are without a doubt the strongest and most durable of all the species, and very hard to kill. They are known for their high pain threshold and ability to focus despite pain. The Caedric train their pups from a young age to become warriors. The Caedric are bold and brave, and fuel their ambitions with determination and pride.
They have a unique ability that activates when their blood is exposed to air. It causes the blood to clot within seconds to stop the bleeding so they can keep fighting and survive. They can also smell blood from miles away.

Physical Appearance
The Caedrics have a firm, stury build and body, being known as the War Wolf. Their bodies are muscular, and compact. They have short, rough and light fur that doesn't offer too much protection against the weather. Their skin is thick, thanks to their blood clot ability. Their tails are somewhat shorter than other Raj, but are very fluffy and flexible. Their fangs are sharp, but not very long. But despite their history and first appearace, they often appear gentle and strong, and most outsiders can't help but feel drawn in by their appearance and how they hold themselves.
Laterite
The Caedric are known for not only their Blood ability, but also their blood-red pelts. Their fur color comes in shades of red, red- brown and orange. Their markings can be either darker or lighter in shade than their main body color, but typically the red or orange will always be most visible. White or light markings are also common. They usually have three colors, but tend to have more markings and colors to complement their main fur color. They can have very dark red pelts, but can also come in lighter shades like orange.
Twilight
Twilight Caedrics are much more rare, and therefore, seeing them is somewhat unusual, but nothing that's out of the ordinary. The Twilight traited Caedrics usually have black fur and blue eyes. They're usually gray-scaled, but can have blues of hue.
Decoration
The Caedric will often decorate themselves with handmade wrist braces or necklaces. They will usually craft the accessories themselves or be given them as a gift by mentors, family members, or as family heirlooms. They will usually not wear things they find in nature unless it is crafted into something by combining more items.
Culture and death
The Caedric live safely within their Capital of Aaerier, which lies on two mountains, connected by a large bridge where the Noble family lives with the Castle of Council containing several circles of different ranks serving beneath the main court. They have an extensive hierarchy and duties for each rank. The Caedric have often been bold or even reckless, but they have always won their battles in glorious and honorable ways. The Caedric’s reputation is cemented by the might of their armies and the wealth of their riches. War and bloodshed has followed their species for years, and to the point that there is a rumor that their fur became red due to all the blood that has been spilled by them. The Caedric’s history holds many uncertainties and unanswered questions, but not many have questioned the Caedric’s claims as they either are afraid of them, or they genuinely believe what the Caedric assert to be true and look no further. They are in control of the biggest library known to Raj, the Citadel in Lorgarde, and guard it fiercely. Only chosen wolves and scholars are allowed to enter the depths of the citadel to study the ancient scrolls.
There are two Traits of Caedric, and while they both are considered Caedrics, there's differences in origin and behaviour between the two. While the Laterite Caedrics have ruled the land, the Twilight Caedrics served the royal family as their most elite and loyal assassins. They protected the royal family, and assassinated their enemies. The Twilight Caedrics existed of a few families, but in modern day it's down to only one, caused by the current Jarl Isyerim slaughtering the Twilight Caedrics that did not support his verdict to destroy the Joundras.
The Caedric have very few enemies as their army crushes opposition easily. However, in recent years Jarl Isyerim has grown superstitious, and this resulted in him rallying several other Jarls for his cause to wipe out the Fire Nobles. This crusade of Jarl Isyerim caused the genocide of two species, including their own people; The Twilight Caedrics. The Twilight Caedrics disagreed with his command, and rebelled, causing them to be a target along with the Joundras. The leader of the Twilight Caedrics managed to escape, only to be killed by the Jarl of the Alesvandr. The Twilight Caedrics that stayed loyal to Isyerim was made the new Head of the Twilights, and continued to serve the Jarl as they had for generations.
The Caedrics believe Jarl Isyerim would make a great king, trying to convince the other Jarls to agree and support Jarl Isyerim as king which resulted in the civil war currently raging between several of the provinces. The Caedric are currently allied with the Mysbel and they reside in both Aaerier and Lorgarde.
Caedrics, due to their believes, are not afraid of dying, but they are afraid of dying needlessly or without a cause. When a Caedric dies in battle, they are brought home to their families to mourn. Families and friends and fellow warriors will grieve the wolf for the first night, before the next day they will bury them in their ancient burial grounds. If a Nobleborn or Highborn dies, their bodies are buried within their Captial in the tombs and the Nobleborn will carve carefully grave chambers for their family. The Nobleborn and Highborns will often visit the tombs to pay respect to their dead.

Their main markings and patterns will alway be a shade of red, ranging from dark red, red brown- to pink and orange, with markings coming in white and tan, or similar shades to their main body color. Sometimes they may not have an underside pattern, and simply have darker backs and a few lighter markings here and there.
