Overview
Year 916 of the second era, Past Fire.
The world is dark, and cold, with a weak sun. A very long time ago according to legend, the word was burned and born from fire. The planet is unknown in size, and the sentient beings don’t know it’s a planet and believe the world stretches on endlessly with no end. The creatures ruling this country is an enlarged wolf species, they are called Rajnaruk, or Raj for singular. There are currently eight different species of Raj; all with different appearance, lifestyles and abilities. There used to be more, but they are either gone and disappeared or went extinct. They have one moon, that centuries ago was hit by a meteorite and shattered into smaller pieces that trails after the moon. The moon seems to never move around the planet, and stands still with its shattered pieces usually visible around it, making the moon visible during day too.
The length of the year varies, and can be as short as 8 months or as long as 20 months. The end of the year is determined by Moon-Stones; large slabs of rock with a circle aligned perfectly to the sun. Once a year, the light will shine through the hole to a plant. When this occurs, a new year is marked and considered a magical event that is often celebrated.
The land lies far north, with more barren and desolate areas, mountains, tundras, fjords, alps and glaciers, and very little lush and green forests. It’s harsh, unforgiving and dangerous. The south of the country is bordered by a large, dark forest, crawling of dangerous beasts, such as basilisks and wyrms. The east is bordered by tall dangerous mountains that nobody has been able to cross. It’s believed the Deep Forest stretches on endlessly, nobody knows what lies on the other side.
The world is set in an old era with no technology. It’s based on high fantasy setting, with gods, spirits and magic. The Raj have strong connection to magic, and are rather superstitious about their history and legends, as well as prophecies. One of these famous legends is about a fire that appeared and couldn’t be destroyed that scorched their world. They don’t take conspiracies well, and are hostile to changes or new things and ideas.
They have a large variety of lifestyles and religion, but there’s common believes amongst all the species, one in which is that a long time ago creatures and beings known as Sages existed to help create the world, made laws and rules to help the world blossom, as well as creating what is now known as Deep Magic. While each culture has a different idea of what they were, it’s come to consensus that they used to exist and some still watches over them. There is proof of an old culture in form of ruins and carvings, but to common people this bears no meaning.
Each species is divided by their cultural difference, physical appearance and elemental affinity. The ruling system is divided by a class system, led by the Noble family and Jarl in each province. The class system is what they live by, and is determined by birth. A higher rank can be gained, usually through marriage or serving under someone much higher. They have laws in place they consider sacred, but these laws are different in each specie and can be read about on the individual species pages.
They normally stick to their own kind and their territories, but hybrids do happen but are at a disadvantage due to their class systems. Because of this ranking system, killing someone from a low class is not seen as something as bad as it is in modern times and is quite common in certain cultures, but death itself is taken very seriously.
Due to their highly religious nature, they often have customs within each species, such as offering food for shrines, sharing part of their meal by placing it out in the nature, pray and honor their ancestors. This varies between each species, as well as how serious this is treated. Disrespecting the spirit is a great offense, and is said to bring bad luck and curses. All Raj believes in something, and deviants are rare.
Humans do not exist in this universe, however, there are ruins, buildings and ancient artifacts left behind from an old civilization. Where they went or what they were is unknown, and is now inhabited by wolves and other creatures.

Current Timeline
About 15 years ago, the Caedric Jarl lost his first son to assassins of the Joundra. The entire known-world felt his grief and rage. He then had a dream; the world would end in fire. He passed on his knowledge and rallied the other species, he passed the order; Kill all Joundra. The Joundras were slaughtered by the Caedrics and Mysbels, and all their allies were executed. Isyerim preached of his prophecy, and gained a following. He then proposed to be king of all the species, to unite all the species under one name. Jarls would be no more, and the king would rule over all the Provinces instead of each Province ruling on their own. A civil war rose, as not everyone agreed with this. Currently Caedrics and Mysbels are allied and in a Cold-War with the Alesvandr. Norh, Basir, Thernians and Solaius are neutral and haven't picked a side.
