Introduction
In the world of Whitefall, there are several variations and types of mutations. While some are caused naturally, such as albinos and melanistic mutations, there are also magical mutations that can cause scales to grow, another third eye to appear or wings to start to grow. While most mutations like these are useless, some of them server a purpose.
For fan-characters, these can be made for free, but ARPG characters needs a rare-roll.

Mutations
Mutations, also called Beast Curses, are Mutations that are caused magically. While most of them are caused by Witches practicing their crafts, and some by the Curse Crest, a lot of these mutations occour when there's a Night of the Beast; A paranormal event where the moon and sky will change color completely. During these Nights, some wolves will be affected and start to change. These Mutations are not limited to the growth of scales, feathers, wings, more limbs, or the transmutation of existing limbs such as paws transmutating into talons or hooves. These mutations are often slow and can take months or years to fully develop. There are no current cure for these mutations nor is there a known reason why some are affected and most not. Wolves that have gained a Mutation through a Night of the Beast must live and learn to cope with their changed bodies. Wolves can only have one mutation.

Pelt mutations
Sometimes, pups are simply born with a color mutation or other strange mutations that causes their appearance to be out of the norm of what is expected of their species. Some of these mutations include albinism, melanism, leucism, erythrism, as well as piebald and chimeras.
Albinism
Albinism occours when there's an absence of any pigmentation or coloring in an animal. This causes the wolf to be almost completely white in color with no obvious patterns or markings. Their color are usually gray-scaled and completely white, but sometimes they can lean towards a faint pink, orange or yellow hue. They also always have pink noses. They usually are born with red eyes, however, they are also seen with blue, pink and green eyes too.

This mutation can also result in them lacking a lot of markings and patterns, making them look almost completely black.

Chimerism is the result where two embryos merge while the mother is still pregnant, resulting in offspring that can look very unique. Two embryos with different colorations and markings will combine into one. Very often it is seen in a 'split' where half the wolf is one pattern, while the other side is completely different, but this can vary individually, and be very unique. The Chimera defect cannot cause a wolf to have more body parts, and only affects their fur and/or body types. |

Axcanthic
The axanthic rare mutation is a genetic disorder that causes all pigmentation in fur to disappear, turning a wolf into a gray-scale version of what is expected. This generally turns their pelt completely drained of any color or hues, and is more obvious in some wolf species than others. This does not affect their eyes.

Patternless
Patternless is a very rare mutation where a wolf is born completely without any obvious patterns. They will generally not be a solid color though, and have very faint and blurred shades on their body where markings should be, but they generally are completely without any patterns. They will usually have a lighter underside and a darker stripe along their backs.
